Scamp is a very special colt. His dam (shown below) was a one in a million kind of kids horse, with so much tenderness and patience and beauty. Scamp is sired by Clayboy and had a rough start - when his dam was 6 months pregnant she threatened to abort him due to a uterine infection. We intevened and she was able to carry him and he was born almost a month early. However, when he was born we were amazed at his size, and strength! Being a winter baby he endured one of the coldest winters with the type of stamina and hardiness that is rare. He has never had a sick day in his life, is tough as nails. Scamp is so blue black that I have struggled to get good photos of him - as you can see below. He has his daddy's bone, leg, and substance and he is super gentle, naturally curious and easy to deal with - both with our family and in the herd. He will be ready to start on his groundwork this summer and can be started under saddle in early fall.

~ Below are several photos of the colt at one week of age. He is a big boy, we think he will mature to at least 15.2h.
